A few weeks ago Michael and I stayed a night in Charleston, South Carolina at the Zero George Street Hotel. It was beautiful! Already I have day dreamed about returning. Here are several pictures from our stay (a mix of phone and DSLR images).

I had rosé, Michael had a red, and Charlie had a meltdown.
I would like to relive this dinner. It was one of the top five meals of my life (I am not even sure what the other four are). Michael had Herb-Basted Chicken over farro and I ordered Caramelized Butternut Squash Agnilotti, which was basically butternut squash and goat cheese stuffed ravioli. So very, very good. Then blueberry tres leches for dessert.
The lighting was much too dim to photograph these miraculous dishes.
We gave Charlie his nightly bath in the sink. It was a bit tiny for such a little chub - look at him!
We had breakfast in the lovely courtyard the following morning. Homemade granola and fresh fruit were my favorites of the complimentary spread.
Dear Zero George, or just George (if I may), I will come back to visit you someday. Thank you for being charming and delightful, and for putting chocolates by my bed at night.
